Dormitories and Private rooms (except the Japanese/Western mixed style room) do not have their own sinks, lavatories, or shower facilities, so guests are asked to use the communal facilities. After 10 PM, please be quiet so as not to disturb guests who are already asleep. The shower room is always stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and hair dryers are provided as well. The showers are open 24-hours. Each guest is provided with 1 bath towel free of charge.

Do you have parking on the premises?

Yes, there are free parking spots behind the building, as well as spots on the public parking next to the hostel.

What's the closest station, and how far is it?

The closest train station is JR Shiraoi, a 3-minute walk away.

Can I check in after 9 PM?
-
Check-in is available until 9 PM, and as a rule we cannot accept later check-ins. However, if you are delayed on the day by circumstances beyond your control, such as train disruptions or bad weather, we can help, so please call us at +81-144-84-5633 before 9 PM.
A late check-in fee applies per room from 9:30 PM:
- 9:30–10:00 PM: ¥1,100
- 10:00–11:00 PM: ¥2,200
*For dormitories, the fee is charged per bed.

Is it possible to go out and re-enter the facilities at night?

At check-in, you will be provided with a pass code for the main entrance door. With this pass code you can go out and enter the facilities at any time.

Yes, there are two stores in about 10-15 minutes walking range. There is also a convenience store in about 2 minutes walk away.

Do you serve breakfast?

We serve a homemade breakfast from 8:30 to 9:30 (¥1,000, tax included). Numbers are limited, so please reserve at check-in.

Will you hold onto my luggage for me?

We can hold your luggage before check-in and after check-out (a fee applies on other days).
If no staff are on site, please leave your bags (no valuables) in the lounge and collect them yourself. If you would like to drop off bags before check-in, please contact us in advance. We cannot store valuables.

Yes, we have a women-only dormitory, and women-only washrooms, toilets and shower rooms.

The main entrance door as well as each guest room is equipped with an electronic lock. There is also a locker room available where you can lock in your valuable belongings.

Yes. We accept mobile payments such as PayPay and Rakuten Pay. Cash is also accepted.

Can I cancel?

Cancellation fees depend on the plan you book; please check the policy for your plan. Plans booked on our official website can be cancelled free of charge up to 3 days before arrival. Group bookings (3+ private rooms or 8+ guests) and private hire have separate terms, with charges from 30 days before arrival.
Fees are waived only when a natural disaster stops public transport and makes it impossible to reach us. Delays or cancellations caused by airlines or other transport operators, and cancellations due to concerns about the weather (including typhoons), are subject to the normal policy.

Can I book a room or the whole building privately?

Yes. You can book a dormitory, the women's dormitory or the whole building. Group and private-hire bookings have different cancellation terms, so please contact us at info@hakuhostel.com.
