The "Kashiwamura Ryokan" started its business here in Shiraoi in the early Showa era (around 1926), but it has been out of business since about 10 years ago due to a decrease in tourists visiting Shiraoi.

We at recorded the appearance of the former Kashimura Ryokan with a 360-degree camera before the renovation works began in December 2018, also having in mind to incorporate the history of this old ryokan as well into the new hostel experience.
